I couldn’t remember any of the sights from when my parents took me to London, and when Pia and I visited in December we sort of just, hung out…
So I went back for the weekend with the intention of sight seeing and gallery hopping.
I stayed next to the British Museum, so I spent a bit of time in there each day.
I saw the National Portrait Gallery, and the Tate Modern. Which was spectacular…
I managed to catch a couple of shows, the English National Opera’s ‘La Boheme’ at the Coliseum, and the Royal Shakespeare Company’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ at the Novello.

I also had my first white Russian with the lovely Casper at Milk & Honey.
They serve the best bloody cocktails ever.
To top off a good weekend, (and speaking of bloody cocktails..) I found Bram Stoker’s Dracula for 2 pound at a second hand book market along the Thames.
The attraction of Grenoble was to see a city surrounded by the French Alps.
Unfortunately for me, the day I visited it was cloudy and raining.
The city was dead; nothing was open, and the alps were hidden behind clouds.
Nonetheless, it was still pretty. And if you look closely in the photos, you can see some of the mountains behind the buildings.
Thank you to Pia for most of these photos!
(my camera ran out of battery soon after we arrived)
